Сучасний стан відносин між Сполученими Штатами та Китаєм характеризується відносною напруженістю. За останнє десятиліття, відколи Китай вийшов на такий рівень економічного та технологічного розвитку, що став мало поступатися, а подекуди й випереджати США, відносини між цими державами також вийшли на рівень своєрідної конфронтації, що відображає суперництво цих двох суб’єктів політики за вплив на світовому рівні. Протистояння має багато вимірів, однак у сучасну епоху, коли в найбільш розвинені держави вже прийшло становлення інформаційного суспільства, залишається важливим виявити тенденції у відносинах між США та КНР під впливом інформаційних технологій.
Мета дослідження – з’ясувати вплив інформаційних технологій на американо-китайські відносини.
