Activities of the United Nations during the Russian-Ukrainian war

The United Nations was created in 1945 at the end of World War II. Its predecessor was the League of Nations, which was formed in 1919. During the First World War, the idea arose to create an international organization to develop world cooperation and ensure world peace. However, bureaucracy and the lack of a clear mechanism for decision-making and concerted action led to the weakening of the League of Na- 131 tions and its eventual collapse. The League of Nations did not cope with its main function, and therefore ended its activity in 1946.
